Krystin realized her passion for interior design when she was a young girl. She had loved horses for many years, she even had wallpaper on her bedroom walls with horses on it. One day, she decided that horse wallpaper was childish, and she was growing up and no longer wanted to see the wallpaper in her room. So she started with a small corner of wallpaper and began to hand peel the wallpaper right off the walls. Her mother was not pleased when she walked into her bedroom and saw wallpaper all over the floor and her daughter standing on her bed, hand peeling the remaining portion of the wallpaper off the wall. While this wasn't an ideal start to Krystin's career as an Interior Designer, this was the first moment she had decided that she wanted to design and decorate rooms for a living. She loved planning new designs and coming up with style combinations that she would test out in her own room. This was the first sign that interior design was her calling in life. As Krystin grew into an adult, she went to college and graduated from the Academy of Art University with a bachelors degree in Interior Architecture & Design. She then went on to pass the IDEX exam and became a certified Interior Designer. Krystin has a deep passion for sharing her knowledge with everyone she works with and hosts local learning events, as well as writing blog posts, and creating educational videos about what makes “good” interior design.
